Chicago-based milliner Sarah Azzouzi is a graduate of the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) holding a Bachelor in Fine Arts with a concentration in millinery and textile design. Using heat press techniques, embossing, and screen-printing on materials varying from straw, rabbit felt, and sinamay, Azzouzi strives to create headwear fit for every taste/personality. Zzouzi Hats combine art and function, experimenting with fabric manipulation that channel Azzouzi's experiences in fiber sculpture and garment making. Through her work, Azzouzi seeks new and innovative design through vintage and alternative inspiration, drawing from personal and cultural histories. She is the recipient of several Millinery awards, displays in galleries in the Chicago area, and has been featured on several blogs and publications. Zzouzi Hats are available for sale in local fairs, and for purchase on Sears.com and Zzouzi.com.
