A native of the Sonoran Desert, Laura Maher has studied poetry at the University of Arizona and the University of Texas at Austin, where she was awarded the Michael Adams Thesis Prize. Her work has been published in Crazyhorse and The Blue Guitar Magazine. She lives, teaches, and writes in Tucson, Arizona.
