Ken Ford - aka 10/4 Technology Journeyman Artist - works and lives among the basalt ranges associated with the formation of Wollumbin (Mt Warning) near Byron Bay, NSW Australia. Known locally as the Rainbow Region, it is the chosen destination for alternative thinkers in Australia. A Ceramics graduate of the National Art School, East Sydney Tech in 1973, Ford has spent a lifetime acquiring and utilizing an ever increasing variety of skills and techniques to make artworks. Printmaking and photography have become the dominant practices over the last 2 decades, including extensive investigations into the digital realm since 1994. Ken Ford has kept his work fresh by continuing to move on, learn new skills and stay focused on the big picture of touching his audience through the imbued emotions and sensations that he impacts into his work.
