Kim graduated from Southwest Texas State University with a BFA in theatre. That early education influenced her eye for the dramatic and finding the story in an image. She was born and raised in Texas with a short stint living in Alaska as a child. That taste for mountains and green lead her to a dream vacation in Scotland that started her photography career. “I read a description of a character in a novel not long ago that immediately struck a chord with me. She was described as a “noticer” Yes! That’s me too! The tucked away gem. The everyday object that is overlooked. A small bit of nature’s magic catches my eye and calls my camera to “notice” and acknowledge. Let’s be like the bear that went over the mountain. Let’s see what we can see.
