I have lived half my life on Cape Cod in the woods not far from the sea. The other half in a southern city near a river. Both places have influenced the content as well as the materials in my assemblages. My method of creating is to never work from an idea. The inspiration comes from an impression of something, like a the texture of a tree trunk or a crumbling wall in the city or an old photograph. Making art for me is about not thinking so much and enjoying whatever happens.
