
Born in Armenia, Anahit Vart attended Terlemezian art school from 1960 to 1965 and earned her Bachelor’s degree at the Institute of Fine Arts in 1970. She was accepted as a member of the Artist’s Union of Armenia and USSR in 1974, as a result of her involvement in many events, and more than 70 group exhibitions organized by both unions. In May, 1992 she had her first one-person exhibition at "Art Today" gallery in Yerevan; that same year she moved to Buenos-Aires where she exhibited in both group and solo shows over several years. She has lived in the LA area since 1997, where she continues to live, work and exhibit both locally, nationally and in publications.
