My name is Heather Mitchell. I first got into photography as a kid, playing around with my dad's old Contax. Around the time I was in high school, I was mostly interested in shooting sports. While attending Herkimer County Community College for photography, I continued to shoot as many sporting events as possible. I still enjoy doing it today, but I fell in love with travel after my first trip to Europe in 2001. After HCCC, I attended Rochester Institute of Technology, where I continued to study photography, as well as the Japanese language. I continued to travel as often as possible during the summer and on school breaks. My work is now mostly travel related. In the past 8 years I've visited 23 countries. I hope to continue my travels around the globe and to share what I see with the world.
