“There is no art without living, being without the microscope of the mind, the understanding from the heart, and the embrace of the fire from the soul, for me, there is no life, only an existence."
Jane Chakravarthy is a visual artist and poet. She primarily uses abstract imagery, metaphor, symbolism and irony to express her message: "I rarely have a preconceived notion of what I will write or paint. My creativity comes from my exposure to life or vicariously, from other people. I focus my energy to create images or scenes which then allow me to purge and effect a tangible expression; something I feel connected to. I strive for my work to have a personal message, even if my point is not so easily classified or defined. I feel satisfied if my work connects with others, offers them guidance, hope, peace or just a sense of acknowledgment at some level. My expression; creating my art, is a spiritual catharsis for me. I strive to let free my woes, to celebrate my oneness, and embrace our collective consciousness." You find more of her work at her website: www.janechakravarthy.com
