Artist and Illustrator Sherri Lemire took her core classes at the former Otis/Parsonsin Los Angeles. She finished her degree at Ringling School of Art and Design in Sarasota, FL in 2000. Sherri has studied with working illustrators Regan Dunnick, & Joe Thiel. Her study with consummate painter, Fiore Custode, would forever change her painting style. Sherri is enthusiastic about travel and she has a history in dance. Her artwork has a painterly style reminiscent of Impressionistic oil sketches. Having studied color extensively, Sherri is impassioned by fervent palettes. Her compositions are intimate and eclectic, inspired by snapshots and candid photography. Although she has made a career in landscape and mural arts, her preferred medium is oil on canvas. Currently, Sherri is developing ideas for a Salon & Burlesque Series. These will be uniquely different from previous works, as she is exploring the use of charcoal on canvas, with smaller, more subtle annotations of color. Her elegant drawing style will be more evident in this series Sherri is a Flordia Native, who readily admits she would never be successful without her loving husband. They share one son and currently reside in Tampa, Florida. More of Sherri's work can be found at her website: www.sherrilemire.com
Sherri's work will appear in the Nov. 2010 issue of Status Hat: Earth.
