This month's theme is Water, and we keep the music cascading for you.

First we have Athena Radford singing "My Heart Races". We were drawn to her music by her powerful and and moving voice. It rolls like a waterfall through the song and is unique in its flow.

Next we have Galen Curry's heartfelt tune "Oh Mama".  As he sings "life goes on day by day" one can imagine sitting on a porch or by the river thinking about our existence as it passes us by. Galen's CD "Some Perspective" was just released and we had the pleasure of seeing him perform an uplifting and emotional show. Catch him if you can.

Last is Felix Linden, who has the smooth and the groove for sure. He performs all the music himself and nails his stlye of expression. Relaxed and soulful, "Emotional Guy" is great song to sip your favorite beverage to, from water to wine. Ahhhhhhh.

ABOUT GALEN CURRY

Galen Curry makes the kind of music that haunts your dreams, loops through your head as you shower, and pops into your thoughts at the most inappropriate times (not to exclude the appropriate ones). Raised in rural Potsdam NY, Galen started making music at the age of 6. At every opportunity he made music, in the auditoriums and on the streets. At the age of 15 he and two friends formed The Beds, his first foray into the world of rock and roll. As Galen cultivated his skills and musical taste he began writing original material for the band, and, as The Beds toured the northeast, and he began to find his voice as a songwriter. www.myspace.com/the4beds. In 2004 he headed off to The College of William and Mary to continue his studies. Throughout his college career Galen fronted, among other groups, the funk-rock ensemble Ultraviolet Ballet. After Galen graduated with a B.A. in Music, in the spring of 2008 Ultraviolet Ballet stormed the Charlottesville music scene: opening for Girl Talk, inaugurating the spring season for the Friday’s After Five Music Festival, and consistently bringing purple tears to the eyes of the countless fans who swarmed shows to groove to the power trio's distinctive sound. Ultraviolet Ballet, is, alas, history, but their music lives on, appropriately, in cyberspace (www.myspace.com/ultravioletballet). Galen's first full length EP of original tunes has now been released in June, 2010. Galen describes his own recordings as “an attempt at beauty through the use of massively overused chord progressions”. Canned or live, you won't think of his music as merely an attempt."

ABOUT FELIX LINDEN

Greetings and salutations! I'm Felix Linden, singer-songwriter. That's what I love
and that's what I do. If you find a job that you love you'll never have to work a
day in your life. Imagine that? I've been writing, singing and performing for years.
I do a one-man show in which I perform a good deal of original material. As a
writer, I always get a special feeling when I connect with those who "get it".The
talent that we have is God's gift to us. What we do with that talent is our gift to
God. If I can make someone "feel" something, then my mission is complete. I am
Okla.City's original Emotional Guy, and a little brick in the architecture of the
OKC sound. Keep rockin' and God bless,Felix
