Music is time made audible. Tempo, notes, and measures bring order to sound and create the rhythm of the piece. Dance makes time visible. Whether slow and sensuous, or fast and spunky, well-crafted choreographies bring to life beats, rhythms, and musical phrases. New Orleans dancer Shannon Wolfe created the piece "Apocahips Now" with a combination of choreography and improvisation, inspired by post-apocalyptic stories like Mad Max and Tank Girl. The gritty costumes and modern music combine with tribal fusion belly dance to create a unique and entertaining performance. - Guest Editor, Liz McCollum
The year is 2033. The world is screwed now.
You see, a while ago this humongous comet came crashing into the earth - BAM! Total devastation, end of the world as we know it.
No celebrities, no cable, no music, no dance, no water.
It hasn't rained in 11 years, now 20 people have to squeeze inside the same bathtub. So it ain't all that bad. Especially when you find a hoarder's music collection...
